Blue and white and often

Have you ever noticed how commonplace the blue and white pairing is?
It is on plates, with the Willow Pattern is the most recognisable representation of such mixing of colour and tone.
It works brilliantly on fabric of course.

I like how on this chiffon like fabric the print can build up,
creating layers separated by a thin veil of white, where under layers can still be seen.

And of course, lots of leaves.

Above door decor - and the ryme thrown in for fun

On the way home one afternoon
I had to stop at this little bit of intricate (I believe metal work).
Photos are a bit blurry as this bit of work is situated above a door,
like a kind of mantel piece to a door actually.
The shapes and forms are clearly Victorian stylised motifs and shapes,
which twist and wind and curl around each other.

Shimery and tiny and many

I don't mean glitter by the title.
I scanned this piece of fabric after finding I didn't have the time to take a decent photo and upload it - though I may do this so that its colour can be seen. In case your curious the colour is originally like a Cadbury purple with these golden shimmery motifs
